Chinese Passport
The posters are created for “GDC15 Chinese Typography in 24 moments” exhibition. To praise the PRC government making more visa-waiver agreements with other countries for the Chinese residents, Tommy used his black humour to specially design a set of two Chinese passports for both PRC and HKSAR citizens. To preserve the Chinese nostalgia, regular script is used, while the small statement ─ “This passport is valid for the cosmos and is never expired”, on the HKSAR one uses traditional Chinese characters to reinforce the constitutional principle “One country, two systems”.
